Teaching
I have worked as a primary instructor or teaching assistant in the interdisciplinary fields of Latin American and Latinx studies, community studies, and history of art and visual culture at the University of California, Santa Cruz, San Francisco State University, and San Jose City College, all of which are federally designated Hispanic Serving Institutions.
For the 2019-20 year I was awarded the Milam-McGinty-Kaun Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Division of Social Sciences at UC Santa Cruz and I won the 2015-16 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from my home department, Latin American and Latino Studies.
